Old Screenshots:
January 27, 2000 Ok, so this isn't a Linux shot. This is an SGI running the software SGI's were born to run. There's nothing finer than seeing Enlightenment & Eterm, both from CVS this afternoon, running peacefully on an IRIX box. And they said it couldn't be done...
November 07, 1999 Just another gee-whiz-enlightenment-rocks screenshot. This shot shows a couple really cool 0.16 features. First, the little thingy in the bottom left is the iconbox. That's where your iconized apps go. You can see that it actually shows a little snapshot of the minimized window. On the right you'll see several epplets. These are basically the E equivalent of WindowMaker's dock apps. The ones I'm running, from left to right, are: a cool screenshot thingy, an Xmms controller, a clock, a CPU load meter, and a net load meter. You can also see from the menu in the top right how E picks up menus from GNOME & KDE.
July 10, 1999 I hadn't done a screenshot for a while, so I figured I might as well... Still Enlightenment 0.16 (from early July CVS). The theme is supposed to look like the screenshots QNX posted a day or two ago. It's cool looking.
April 15, 1999 Enlightenment just rocks. The settings windows in the snapshot are actually part of e. No outside programs, no nothing. just e. More cool Digital Blasphemy backgrounds.
March 31, 1999 Enlightenment got a pager yesterday, so obviously I upgraded. :) I don't have a huge use for a pager (I know where all my windows are), but it's cool none-the-less. The little pictures in the upper right are the pager. They update every time you visit that desk. Also note the cool little ripple at the bottom of the screen. Enlightenment rocks.
Feb. 20, 1999 I just upgraded GNOME to 0.99.8. You can see the panel on the bottom. Notice it's not full-sized. Your main panel can now be converted to an edge panel. Very cool. Also, note the pager stuff coming off the panel. That rocks. As always, the great background is from Digital Blasphemy.
Jan. 14, 1999 I love transparent Eterms... Also, the little clock applet thingy in the lower right shows "Swatch internet time" for whatever that's worth.
Dec. 24, 1998 I finally got GTK+ themes working. This is the Pixmap theme by Raster. The Eterm is transparent with a yellow tint. The empty looking applet on the panel is Mini-Commander, a useful little semi-terminal.
